I am a Product Leader and Technologist who works with brands, studios and startups to make ideas tangible.
As a generalist with skills across the product & digital space - I workshop, plan, design and develop. I believe in learning by doing and the value of good design thinking across disciplines.
With over 12 years of experience, I've worked on projects for some of the world's biggest brands as well as helping startups build the first versions of their digital products. Interactive iPad apps for Mercedes-Benz, Connected IoT buttons to order beer for Peroni and Social Wellbeing apps for a Harvard Innovation Lab startup.
I have also launched my own products, including NINE, an app with over 220,000 downloads, featured by Apple, Wired, T3 and Gizmodo - and have worked in agencies as a designer, developer and technologist, as a product lead at payments and health start ups, as well as at Partner level in a product design studio.
I'm also full-stack developer specialising in iOS.
I hold an Honours Degree 1st Class in Multimedia Technology from Edinburgh's Napier University.
July 2021 - Ongoing
As part of the founding team of Aide Health, I've worked with the founders on Product Strategy as well as day to day delivery of the roadmap.
Implementing tooling and reporting of key product metrics in Mixpanel and Metabase, and providing insights internally and for existing and potential investors.
I also developed the iOS application and implemented the natural language flows that power the chat experience using Google Dialogflow CX.
April 2020 - July 2021
As a Product Engineer - and later Senior Product Manager at Banked I worked with the Engineering and Design teams to deliver several payments products against an ambitious roadmap.
Banked's aspiration to become a living, global payments network required both an understanding of Open Banking APIs in the UK & Europe - as well as leveraging other payment technologies and partnerships when they elevated the product.
I was involved in API design, Mobile applications, SDKs, payment UI flows, developer consoles and partner integrations - all of the offerings a mature SAAS product requires to scale from seed.
My role varied over time - but I was ultimately responsible for discovery, specification, delivery management and tracking of our suite of payment acceptance channels.
April 2019 - April 2020
I worked for a number of clients such as Saatchi Wellness and Banked in a freelance capacity - typically delivering iOS development or product/technical consultancy.
Feb 2015 – Mar 2019
Built, managed and grew the product design and development offering of the company from scratch.
Brought Design Thinking to the core of how the product team operated including design sprints as a service and prototyping as a key route to innovating for our clients.
Helped brands behave more like startups and experiment with the latest technologies such as IoT, AR/VR and NFC.
Designed and built several MVPs for startups as well as our own products released on the App Store.

Communicating and contextualising digital technology for both clients and co-workers and identifying opportunities that new technologies may offer.
Gaining deeper understanding of technology by building and prototyping. Experimenting with new software, web services, hardware, API's, wearables etc. and sharing this knowledge with other team members.
Developing an internal incubation process for digital product development, running product design sprints, and offering rapid prototyping services for both clients and internal ideas.
Working with product and new business managers to create a 'product' arm of the company which operates alongside a full-service digital agency.
As a senior working within the creative team I continued to offer creative and technical review of client work, as well as design and development services when projects demand.

Jan 2012 – Mar 2013
Delivery of highly interactive mobile applications for Mercedes-Benz UK. During my time in this role we deployed a total of 4 iPad and 2 iPhone apps - which ranked as high as number 1 within their primary category.
As Mobile Lead I managed a team of designers and iOS developers, attended regular client status meetings and liaised with their internal stakeholders and printed sales literature agency. I worked closely with the Creative Director to manage and direct production of 3D assets, audio/music, video/photo shoots.
These challenging projects had to be delivered to tight deadlines, meet stringent vehicle specification requirements and above all uphold the Mercedes-Benz brand.
I was also required to fulfil production roles within the mobile team including : concept sketches, feature ideation, functional specifications, wire-framing, design/UI and iOS development.
In addition to Mobile Lead, I also led the core development team - front/back-end developers and Flash developers.

Answering client briefs with digital creative and development. As a senior designer I was often involved in a project from initial brainstorm and concepts - through wire-framing and design - to build and deployment.
As part of a multi-disciplinary team I worked on a variety of projects (as both a designer and multimedia developer). These included micro-sites, facebook apps, Adobe flash web applications/tools, HTML emails.
